AFTER CARE . . . .

GENERAL AFTER CARE ADVICE

For AROMATHERAPY, INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE,

FACIAL REJUVENATION,

And Children’s Nurturing touch

After your treatment, you may experience some feelings taking place in your body. This is perfectly normal, as massage enhances the bodies’ natural cleansing process. It is not something to be concerned about, and is in fact a positive indication that your body has responded to the treatment received. However, if you do not experience any different feelings or reactions taking place in your body, this doesn’t mean your body hasn’t responded to the treatment.

Quite often there will be no other experience other than immediately feeling pleasant relaxed, followed by a feeling of revitalisation.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, they usually pass within 12 to 48 hours. However, if the symptoms persist and you are concerned about anything please do not hesitate to contact your therapist.

Possible symptoms you may experience

•Increased desire to go to the loo

•Thirst

•Aggravated skin conditions

•Runny nose, sneezing or coughing

•Feverish, shivering or chilliness

•Tiredness, headache, feeling low or weepy

•Temporary increase or worsening of existing symptoms

These are just some common reactions you may experience whilst your body is eliminating excess toxins.

To speed up the effects of your therapeutic treatment, it is advisable to drink plenty of water. Try to avoid too much tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, or alcohol, as your body is trying to eliminate toxins held in your bodily system. Herbal teas are a good replacement if you are fed up with water! Nettle, Peppermint, Rose Hip and Camomile are all known for their relaxing and/or digestive properties. Finally, try to spend the rest of the day relaxing!

If you do experience any symptoms, rest, drink plenty of water, only eat a light meal and have an early night.
